Vulkan Gis are made of Honey Comb Weaved Fabric and Rubber Lapel providing lightness, quality and faster drying. The Ultra Light model is even lighter than the Pro light, it weights about 2.6 lbs. It is the best option if you are close to being over the weight limit of your division at tournaments.

The Vulkan Ultra Light is one of the best light weight GIs available and is possibly the lightest GI in the world and comes  in White, Black and navy.

Fit – The Ultra Light has a competition cut so no excess material on the body, sleeves or trousers.

GI Top – The GI top is made from Vulkans honeycomb weave. The honeycomb weave used on the Ultralight is even lighter than the weave used on the Prolight! Definitely one of the lightest GI jackets I’ve ever seen. It is also very comfortable.

The lapel has a rubber core that helps the collar keep its shape and helps it to dry quicker because the rubber doesn’t hold any of the water after being washed. The lapel has a medium stiffness and is very lightweight and comfortable.

GI Trousers – The Ultra Light has the same trousers that come with the Prolight. The trousers are made from 8oz cotton and like the GI top they are lightweight and made to a very high standard. They are reinforced from the knee to the shin.

Branding GI Top - Woven branded patches on the shoulders, chest, back and lower lapel.

Branding Trousers – Woven patch on the side of one leg and on the hip of the other leg.

Shrinkage – The Ultralight has been pre-shrunk but you will still get a little bit of shrinkage so it is ideal for shrinking to fit. If the GI fits you well straight out of the bag then washing on a cold/30 degree wash will minimize shrinkage and if it’s a little bit big in places then a couple of washes at 40 degrees will bring it down in size a bit.

Good for - Tournaments and everyday training. The Vulkan Ultra Light is fully tournament legal.
